Tips for using an eSIM in Qatar
- For a stopover of a few hours, airport Wi-Fi may be enough. For a stay, pick a plan with a few GB.

Do I need an eSIM for a Doha layover?
Not for a short layover, airport Wi-Fi is free. For a stopover visit into the city, a small eSIM plan is convenient.
Is my phone eSIM compatible?
Most phones from 2019 onward support eSIM, including iPhone XS and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer. Your phone must also be carrier unlocked. On iPhone, check Settings, General, About for a "Digital SIM" or "Available SIM" entry.
When should I install the eSIM?
Install it at home on Wi-Fi a day or two before your trip, but keep it switched off. Turn it on and enable data roaming for the eSIM line after you land.
Will I lose my Nigerian number?
No. The eSIM is added as a second line. Your Nigerian SIM stays in the phone for calls, SMS and bank OTPs while the eSIM handles data.
How do I pay?
